I’m submitting this completed 94,000-word manuscript to you because of your interest in family sagas. The Clock Strikes Midnight is the story of a struggle between two sisters shrouded in family mystery.

Janie Knox abandoned the city of her birth a week after a jury convicted her stepfather of killing her mother. She left with all her worldly possessions in a single duffel bag, hopped on a bus, and vowed never to return. On the day the doctor tells her she has three months to live, she breaks that vow. As the clock ticks away, she uses the last days of her life to erase her guilt by destroying the man who ruined her family.

Janie’s return home not only turns her life upside-down but also that of her sister, Marlene, who wants nothing more than for Janie to leave her in peace. Meanwhile her stepfather blackmails Janie to prove wrongful imprisonment and extract millions from the state in retribution. Janie stalks her stepfather, plots his murder, and gets herself kidnapped in the process.

THE CLOCK STRIKES MIDNIGHT, a contemporary mystery/suspense novel set in Atlanta, Georgia, is a quest for revenge and atonement. This is a story about unleashing the hidden truths that haunt families and threaten relationships. Janie’s atonement comes with her admission to the cover-up surrounding her mother’s death as well as the final demise of her stepfather.

My fiction stories have won several contests and I’ve published four nonfiction titles released by Praeger Press an imprint of ABC-CLIO Publications, all business books. I’m currently working on a cozy mystery series debuting Jenna Scali in e-MURDERER.

Thank you for your consideration of my work.
