Ms. Hassan,
When Charlie Dewdle stumbles upon a mysterious book capable of opening a Demonic Gateway, news travels fast throughout the Underworld. After all, this book is what every foul creature has dreamt about for centuries and with it fumbling in the hands of a nerdy sixth-grader, there has never been a better time to strike.

In steps the Protective Services Academy, an agency used to protect mortals from all things demonic on Earth. With a reputation of producing elite Guardian Agents, the P.S. Academy immediately sends Walter Prairie to Charlie’s rescue. There’s one teensy little problem with that. Walter just recently died and somehow has bypassed the Academy’s four-year training program. He has no weapons and no experience on how to defend Charlie against demons.

THE AFTERLIFE ACADEMY, a 56,000-word middle grade novel, follows two clueless twelve-year-olds, one dead and one living, as they try to protect the Summoner’s Handbook from a horde of deadly enemies. In the process they will unravel a conspiracy of corruption within the afterlife’s most infamous institution, the Protective Services Academy.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response.
