The Sheriff of a small Kentucky town discovers an abandoned baby crying in the graveyard. The mother is never found.

Seventeen years later, Ezekiel Stone Molony is content with the simple country life, until a tragic accident awakens a dormant gift inside of him – the power to heal. Stone sets out to understand his gift by digging into his past, but soon finds out that the past, and the truth, is not as liberating as he hoped. His journey of self-discovery leads him down the dark roads of racism, corruption, and murder as he grapples with the nature of his gift. In the end, he must choose between healing mercy, or vigilante justice.

I began writing a few years ago out of sheer arrogance, but continued writing because I enjoyed the process of creation. It has been a humbling and rewarding journey. I am a graduate of Orson Scott Card’s Literary Boot Camp 2009, and Long Ridge Writers Group Breaking Into Print. I have published short pieces of nonfiction including “Playing With Fire” that was published in Kentucky Monthly in November of 2011.

Healing Stone is a historical fiction, coming-of-age story, with a paranormal twist. The setting is my father’s boyhood hometown of Burkesville, Kentucky, circa 1955. It is complete at approximately ninety-nine thousand words.

I have worked as an Academic Instructor in the Air Force, a Covey Facilitator, and in other volunteer leadership positions that have allowed me the opportunity to speak comfortably in front of large groups. As an airline pilot, I am able to travel easily and I am willing to travel to promote this book.

Thank you for considering my work.

Sincerely,

Brock Booher
